The Desktop Support Specialist is an in-person role and will be in our Boston office 4 days a week. They will be working closely with the rest of the IT team in ensuring superior end user experience to employees, with an emphasis on customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and ship laptops to new hires and replace malfunctioning hardware in the fleet
- Manage in-warranty repair process for laptops with manufacturer (depot repair and on-site service)
- Resolve tickets related to performance and function of endpoints, peripherals, mobile devices, and virtual desktops
- Troubleshoot hardware problems with laptops
- Troubleshoot software problems related to OS, drivers, or general office software
- Troubleshoot network issues in remote locations (i.e. work from home)
- Install and configure desktop computer hardware, software and peripherals using standard procedures
- Keep laptop endpoints up-to-date and compliant (AD, Azure AD, Microsoft 365 Security, Microsoft Intune)
- Package, deploy and update software using Microsoft Intune
- Manage updates to laptops to ensure consistency within the fleet
- Assist with management of security system and badging for employees
- Assist with in-office support of conference rooms and in-person support of office needs
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of prior Windows Desktop Support experience preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Intune preferred
- Ability to remotely troubleshoot network and software issues on laptop endpoints
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent experience desirable
- High attention to detail and solid documentation skills required
- Interest in architecture or design recommended
